Book Club at the John Radcliffe Hospital In-Person
Dissolution by C. J. Sansom is the first in the Shardlake series and can be found as an exceptional audiobook narrated by Steven Crossley, a paperback via Oxfordshire Libraries, Amazon or purchased through your local bookshops, a BBC Radio 4 dramatisation, and has also been adapted for television.

Rules for book club 😊
- You don't have to attend every meeting either in-person or remotely. It's going to be relaxed and welcoming every time. Just turn up when you can. I'll keep sending the e-mails until you tell me not to!
- You don't have to have finished the book to come to the meeting, but please be aware that there will be spoilers during the discussion.
- It's absolutely fine to listen to the audiobook.
- You can also watch a film or TV series, if that works for you for a title that has been adapted.
- Everyone who would like to speak, will get the chance. We will all be respectful and accept that we have different opinions.
- I will choose the books to get us started, but please come with your own ideas and suggestions for book choices.
- If it's your choice, you can lead the discussion if you want, but I am always happy to lead.
- I will provide some discussion points/questions for the book at each meeting, which I can circulate about a week in advance, though we do not have to follow all of these points. This will be just to get the conversation started.
