Rules for book club 😊

  1. You don't have to attend every meeting either in-person or remotely. It's going to be relaxed and welcoming every time. Just turn up when you can. I'll keep sending the e-mails until you tell me not to!
  2. You don't have to have finished the book to come to the meeting, but please be aware that there will be spoilers during the discussion.
  3. It's absolutely fine to listen to the audiobook.
  4. You can also watch a film or TV series, if that works for you for a title that has been adapted.
  5. Everyone who would like to speak, will get the chance. We will all be respectful and accept that we have different opinions.
  6. I will choose the books to get us started, but please come with your own ideas and suggestions for book choices.
  7. If it's your choice, you can lead the discussion if you want, but I am always happy to lead.
  8. I will provide some discussion points/questions for the book at each meeting, which I can circulate about a week in advance, though we do not have to follow all of these points. This will be just to get the conversation started.
